The Royal Welsh Show took place from Monday 24th July to Thursday 27th July.
It offers the chance to celebrate the best of Welsh and British agriculture, at the Royal Welsh Showground in Llanelwedd.
Kirsty spent time with the team manning the welfare tent at the Young People’s Village. This consists of organisations including Powys County Council youth service and school nurse service, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, Dyfed Powys Police, substance misuse services and online counselling services. It provides water, sunscreen and information about sexual health, drinking and keeping safe.
“A big thank you to the staff of Powys teaching Health Board, Powys County Council and the numerous voluntary organisations for being there for our young people.”
She also met with some of the numerous organisations who attended the show. This included NFU Cymru and the FUW.
“The Royal Welsh Show is such an important part of the calendar in Brecon and Radnorshire. I was pleased to catch up with so many of the people who make the show what it is, and so many of the organisations who are at the forefront of our agriculture.”
