In a letter to Kirsty Williams AM, the Welsh Government has confirmed that funding for the public toilets at the Groe (Builth Wells) and Dark Lane (Rhayader) has been extended.
Funding has been extended for the financial year 2019/20, “at the same rate and under the same conditions as originally agreed.
Kirsty Williams, Welsh Liberal Democrat Assembly Member for Brecon and Radnorshire, said:
“It’s so important to keep these facilities open. A lack of public toilets can keep people at home, reducing independence and increasing social isolation. I plan to continue to work with the Welsh Government, Powys County Council and Town Councils to secure a long-term solution.”
