Five projects in Brecon & Radnorshire awarded £33,864 in lottery funding


In March 2019 five projects across Brecon and Radnorshire benefitted from a total of £33,864 in funding from The National Lottery Community Fund.

Bleddfa Trust were awarded £10,000 to improve the foyer area of the Bleddfa Centre and extend its range of activities.

L’Arche in the Brecon Beacons received £1,836 to teach live-in residents (with varying learning abilities) walking routes and navigating the National Park terrain safely.

Hay & District Dial-a-Ride were awarded £2,320 to provide a volunteer-led community transport service for people living within 9 miles of Hay-on-Wye.

Hay, Brecon and Talgarth Sanctuary for Refugees will use a £9,740 grant to offer welcome and respite for refugees and asylum seekers living in South Wales.

Mid Powys Mind were awarded £9,968 to continue and develop their Youth Project, including extending their reach into local schools.
