Presteigne Primary visit Assembly

3.00.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Mon 12th May 2008

A group of 55 Year 5 and 6 Presteigne Primary School pupils today visited the National Assembly for Wales as part of an educational visit to learn more about the workings of the Assembly and how it affects them.

The pupils spent the morning at the Pier head building and then met with Kirsty Williams AM for Brecon & Radnorshire in the Senedd before visiting the Chamber.

Kirsty said: "I was delighted to spend time with such an enthusiastic and engaged group of children from my constituency. I am sure their trip has given them an insight into the Assembly and they will go away and spread the word to their friends and relatives that the Assembly is a place to get excited about."
