AM congratulates New Lib Dem Leader

Welsh Liberal Democrat AM for Brecon & Radnorshire Kirsty Williams has congratulated Nick Clegg MP, the new leader of the Liberal Democrats.

"Nick Clegg is a charismatic and passionate man and today represents a time of change in the Liberal Democrats' history. It is a time to move forward in unity towards a positive future and victory in the May elections.

"We are fortunate as a party to have had two outstanding candidates, both of whom have a very bright future."

"The party will now drive forward with certainty and belief in this new 'Clegg era' and show the voters of Britain why the Liberal Democrats are the only alternative to the 'gloopy consensus' that currently stagnates British politics."
