Local AM Concerned by Ambulance Response Times

2.15.00pm UTC (GMT +0000) Mon 13th Aug 2007

Kirsty Williams AM is due to meet with Alan Murray, Chief Executive of the Welsh Ambulance Trust, later this week.

Following complaints about response times throughout Brecon and Radnorshire Ms Williams will be questioning the Chief Executive on the services short fallings.

Kirsty Williams said "Whilst our hard working ambulance staff are under continuous pressure to deliver an improved service they are given only limited resources to do so. Delayed response times are a very serious matter as every minute can be a matter of life or death and I shall be seeking reassurances from the Chief Executive that he will be acting to improve the response times."

Notes:

Kirsty will meet with Alan Murray on Friday 17th August.
