Phone box victory for Kirsty Williams AM

Welsh Liberal Democrat AM for Brecon and Radnorshire, Kirsty Williams, has welcomed the news that a traditional Georgian red telephone box is to be reinstated at Pont Waun Fach.
Ms Williams has campaigned for the box's reinstatement, and had even written to Assembly Minister Andrew Davies on the matter.
Ms Williams said: "I am delighted that the Assembly Government has agreed to fund the phone box. Given the setting, the traditional red design is so much more appropriate to the area and its heritage. I know this is something the community has been campaigning for, and I hope that it can be installed as soon as possible."
Notes:
Following representations from Talgarth Town Council, Ms Williams contacted both Powys County Council and Andrew Davies, Minister for Enterprise, Innovation and Networks at the Assembly, asking them to strongly consider the case for a traditional Georgian-style phone box. Ms Williams received an email today from the Mid Wales Trunk Road Agency, confirming the Assembly Government has agreed to fund the box.
