Ms Williams said: "I was very impressed by all the entries that I saw at the exhibit, but must give particular congratulations to Jade for her success, and to the Camera Club for organising the event. Photography is a real skill, but one which children do not always have the opportunity to try, which makes competitions like this even more appreciated. I'm sure all the children who took part had a lot of fun, and hope that some of them have been encouraged to develop their skills and take more photographs."

Hay on Wye Camera club meets every Tuesday at the Old Cheese Market at 7.30pm, and is keen to welcome new members.

Six local primary schools were invited to enter the competition, with the theme of 'what you did in the summer holidays'. 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes were awarded within each school, with the winners then competing against each other to win the grand prize of a digital camera. The prize was presented at the preview night on 20th October. All the winning entries were exhibited at the Castle Gallery as part of the Club's exhibition.
