Kirsty and Cllr Kelvyn Curry visit pre-school provision settings in Rhayader

Kirsty Williams and Cllr Kelvyn Curry, Liberal Democrat County Councillor for Rhayader, visited Cylch Arch Yr Enfys Rhaeadr and Rhayader Community Nursery to discuss early years childcare and education provision.

Cylch Arch Yr Enfys is a Welsh medium playgroup, currently with children aged two or three years old.

Rhayader Community Nursery provides for three groups of children: under two years, two to three years; and three years plus.

Both facilities are on the grounds of Rhayader Primary School on Bryntirion Lane.

Kirsty Williams AM said:

“It was such a pleasure to visit the children, along with the hard-working staff, at the Cylch and the Nursery.”

“It was important to recognise and discuss the challenges they are facing, and how we can best work together, along with the Council, to deliver the best possible outcomes for our young children. It is so important we get the early years right.”

Cllr Kelvyn Curry commented:

“They are both in a fantastic location in the grounds of the school, and there is so much potential to build on the work already being done and for further collaboration.”
