As your Assembly Member for the past 9 years I have worked constantly for Brecon and Radnorshire .
At the Assembly I speak up for the constituency on a range of issues from calling for more affordable housing to speaking up for community hospitals. If you would like to visit the National Assembly for Wales and watch a Plenary Session please contact my office who would be more than happy to arrange this.
I hold regular advice surgeries across the constituency from Llanbister to Ystradgynlais, from Hay-on-Wye to Llanwrtyd Wells.

Powys' budget woes put on Minister's agenda

Powys AMs Kirsty Williams and Mick Bates have described yesterday's meeting with the Minister for Local Government as a 'very positive first step' in the fight to raise Powys County Council's settlement for 2009/10 above the forecast nil %.

Powys AM's get in early on nil % budget settlement

AM's for Powys Kirsty Williams and Mick Bates will this week meet with the Minister for Local Government to lobby for an improved figure for the 2009/10 Powys County Council's local government settlement. The forecast settlement for Powys is currently a devastating nil %.
